Low-contrast image enhancement based on wavelet and pseudocolor processing

A new technique is proposed to enhance low-contrast images. The technique combines wavelet processing with pseudocolor processing after improving the traditional pseudocolor processing, thus overcomes the defects of wavelet and pseudocolor processing. The principles and steps of low-contrast image enhancement method are explained. The method is applied to mri images.The definition of images is highly improved after the technique contrasting to common method. The experiment proves the validity of this technique, and it provides a new way to dispose low-contrast images.
