Design of Material Tracking and Control System for Petroleum Drill Pipe Finishing Line

The petroleum drill pipe production line at Baosteel is the unique finishing line with advanced technical competence at home, which is carried out by two steps of circulation-process of male tool coupling and female tool coupling.After the first stage, pipes will be bundled on the ground and loaded again after U-turn. So it is difficult to track the quality data of each pipe. Morever,the control system on hand can not collect the quality data of ultrasonic inspection and hardness detection,because of its unitary function of control system and poor ability of data communication.In view of the questions mentioned above,a special system of barcode and print is designed and a relative system and process of control which combines the control system mode of pipe finishing line with the characteristics of petroleum drill pipe line,is designed by EIC.
