With hardwood oak as research object, the effect of preheating processing time on sawn timber drying quality and drying speed is studied to provide basis for energy-saving pretreatment drying process. The result shows that under the same working conditions, there is no significant difference in the drying speed of 25 mm thick oak sawn lumber that has gone through conventional preheat treatment(3.25hpreheat)and 2h preheat;the drying quality of sawn timber that goes through 2h preheat can reach the Grade Ⅱ standard of GB/T6491Sawn Timber Drying Quality.
