In order to resolving semantic heterogeneity and information resource location problem in large scale peer-to-peer networks,a multiple Metadata-Specification-Templates(MST) based extensible and semantic-oriented metadata description framework is proposed in this paper.Based on this description framework,a hybrid organization and indexing architecture is provided. The technical characteristic of DHT and community strategies is synthesized. The resource location, the entries of MST groups and communities based on core information units and extensional information units are indexed. At the same time, the concept of semantic-extended routing is defined based on semantic relation between different information units.Based on this architecture,a semantic-oriented hybrid resource discovery approach is proposed. It can improve the completeness of query largely.By simulating, our system is more efficient in resource location and more scalable than relative systems.
