Pre-processing methods of CL4 multiwavelet and their applications in generator fault detection

On the basis of the presentation on basic theory of CL4 multiwavelet, the method of detecting the generator fault based on CL4 multiwavelet transform is discussed first in this paper. The detecting effect of the generator fault with CL4 multiwavelet and GHM multiwavelet based on different pre-processing methods is analyzed and compared after a great deal of simulation work. The results indicate that the detecting effect of the generator fault with CL4 multiwavelet based on proper pre-processing methods is better than that with GHM multiwavelet, and the choice of pre-processing methods is a key factor of the detecting effect.
