Wavelet decomposition and image compression

Recently,in signal processing field,the discrete wavelet transform is used widely.This essay is about the application of wavelet decomposition algorithm in image compression.According to the features of wavelet coefficients,the most important thing is that we can arrange the coding algorithm combined with the requirements of our vision,which directly leads to the application that can compensate the deficiencies of traditional compression algorithm well.
