Innovations in Campus Culture Development in the Age of New Media

Since 1990s,new media like internet and cell phone texts has gradually changed people's way of life as well as way of thinking.As decentralized media that are profuse with vivid pictures,sounds and videos as well as traditional texts,new media have provided more ways of transmission,more information and more diversity for campus culture.However,the transmission is under weak sanction,which leads to some disturbing contents that may have a negative impact on the mainstream culture.New media have brought both opportunities and challenges to campus culture development.In order to develop thriving and harmonious campus culture,universities nee to think out of the box,fuse traditional media with new media,enhance internet monitoring,respond to public demands on the internet and develop new media ethics.
