Tamper detection and self recovery algorithm of color image

Watermarking is an effective method to authenticate images.On basis of discrete wavelet transform(DWT),a simple watermarking algorithm of color image for self-embedding an image into itself is proposed.A watermark in the luminance signal was embedded by means of mean-quantization,achieving tamper detection and location.To help recover a tampered image,a luminance signal and chrominance signal were embedded in surplus chrominance space.Experimental results prove that the scheme is good at detection,location,and self recovery of an image that is deleted,replaced,or distorted.The algorithm can obtain high peak value signal-to-noise ratio and possesses greater robustness than other methods.
