Research on data service quality evaluation and selection mechanism

Aiming at the problem which the Universal Description,Discovery,and Integration(UDDI) service is unable to ensure the availability and efficiency of data services,this paper presents a data service selection mechanism based on Quality of Service(QoS).An evaluation model and the evaluation factors are defined,calculating method for QoS numerical quantization of data service and the service selection strategy are given.A metadata service is designed and implemented based on UDDI and Monitoring Discovery Service(MDS) technologies to support the data service selection mechanism.The results of tests show that the QoS-based data service selection mechanism can improve efficiency of data services.
