Open Service Based Network Convergence
Shen Su-bin · Zhongxing Telecom Technology · 2004
This paper introduces two classical network convergence models for IP telephony applications. It discusses the possibility of implementing the network convergence with the open service specifications of Parlay/OSA (V 4.0). It proposes an open service based solution of network convergence, which enables IP telephony services across the Internet and traditional telephone networks, and also analyzes its strengths and weaknesses when applied to providing network convergence-related services.
