Research and Application of Medical Image Lossless Compression Based on Integer DCT

In this paper,the author has researched and realized a kind of scheme about image lossless coding based on integer DCT.The main idea of which is as follows: firstly,designed reversible integer DCT based on integer FFT.Secondly,dealt with the DCT data by SPIHT.Finally,encoded the data by Arithmetic Coding.In this paper,the author deducted and proved this theory based on the research wok of other people and the basic knowledge of digital image processing,and then transformed them into mathematical model and suitable algorithms,and finished this system by computer.This lossless coding system based on integer DCT obtained higher compression performance.
