Eye Location Using Gabor Transform

A novel method to locate eyes using Gabor transform is presented.The face image is normalized to reduce the side-effect of illumination.Gray projection algorithm is then applied to locate eyes,taking advantage of the reality that eyes' gray feature is sensitive with Gabor transform of face image.Experimental results show that the proposed method is fairly robust to variations of expression,pose and illumination.
