Oil and gas pipelines are the important parts connecting the oil producing areas with the refined oil factories and the key to ensuring oil and gas production is the safety transportation of pipeline.Due to internal and external factors,a lot of potential dangers might occur.By introducing the GIS mapping system to the oil and gas safety management based on technical innovations,the paper collects many important data about the pipelines safety management,and analyzes and deals with the data collected,thus providing a foundation for policy decision,controling the hidden danger of pipeline safety operation.
