Application for XML in Distributed Interactive Battle Simulation

XML data standard is used in data presentation, data processing and data transmission in distributed interactive battle simulation. By introducing the application of XML, the paper discusses the XML data exchanging format and the XML expression of battle and provides a way for date description using XML, then proposes an architecture for the runtime supporting infrastructure of DIS bases on XML. The system makes reference for extensive distributed interactive battle simulation construction, because some content discussed in the paper has come into reality in a middle scaled battle simulation system.
