Fully Automatic Detector in SAR-ATI of GMTI

Fei Gao · Acta Aeronautica Et Astronautica Sinica · 2005

A fully automatic detector named Two Step-Fitting Gaussian Function aims at processing the output signals from spaceborne synthelic aperture radar (SAR)-along track interferometry (ATI) is proposed. Without the need to assume jointly Gaussian distributed data and derive a theoretical PDF for the interferogram, the new adaptive detection scheme automatically extracts moving targets from stationary clutter and noises. By this method the probability of false alarm P_(fa) is greatly reduced and the minimum detectable velocity (MDV) is investigated.
