Design and Implementation of Global Name Space in Multilevel Cluster File System

With the quick development of storage and cluster technology,the cluster file system research becomes a more and more important issue.This paper presents the design and implements the global name space in the multilevel cluster file system(MCFS).It brings forward a metadata multilevel policy,thus forms a uniform metadata tree,so multilevel file cluster system can implement the global name space in a loose coupling,isomerous circumstances,improving the system’s parallelism and scalability.After introducing the global name space in the multilevel cluster file system,some experiments is made to analyze the performance and scalability.
