Using the code signing tools sign the software, users can judge the credibility of software source. It'll be effective in preventing illegal modification and fabrication. To a certain extent, it can protect users against malicious code, as well as protecting the rights and interests of software developers. This paper introduces the principles of code signing, and gives an example in the Windows platform. Some flaws and solutions of code signing are also given.
