Growing potatoes in autumn in heliogreenhouse,and harvesting and marketing the potatoes before Chinese New Year resulted in better yield and economic benefit compared with spring potatoes.In addition,the economic benefit was higher than other vegetables grown in heliogreenhouse during the same period.Growing potatoes in autumn in heliogreenhouse was also easy to manage,economical with time and effort,and reduced the occurrence of pests and diseases.More importantly,this model of potato production filled the gap of markets and made the townsfolk's market basket vegetables more diversified.
