The ZigBee network is a kind of wireless personal area network(WPAN) based on IEEE 802.15.4,and its topology is changeable and its nodes are movable. The ZigBee protocol has strong ability to form networks, which makes it more complex in routing than other shortrange wireless protocols such as WI-FI and Bluetooth. The typical routing algorithms of the ZigBee network are analyzed and compared, and corresponding methods to improve these algorithms are presented so as to make ZigBee networks efficacious and reliable.A routing scheme of ZigBee networks suitable to the aptitudinal public traffic system(APTS) is given.
