Grid Task Scheduling with an Cloud Theory-Based Genetic Algorithm

First, the characteristic of grid resource scheduling and limitation of current genetic algorithm are analyzed. To overcome the shortcomings of a genetic algorithm (GA). i. e. , low convergence speedand easily getting a local optimum solution, a novel genetic algo- rithm, cloud theory-based geneticalgorithm ( CGA ) , was proposed. CGA is based on both the idea of GA and the properties ofrandom- ness and stable tendency of a normal cloud model.
