Overview of Node Scheduling Algorithm in Wireless Sensor Networks

With the development of wireless technology,wireless sensor networks have received increasing attention widely in recent years.Wireless sensor network includes amount of nodes that have limited sensing capability and transmitting capability.Constrained by the energy of sensor node,how to utilize the sensor node energy-efficiently to prolong the lifetime of network is a very important issue.Energy efficient node scheduling algorithm can achieve this object.In this paper,we present the significance of node scheduling algorithm from the view of technology,classify state-of-the-art typical node scheduling algorithms,analyze and compare these algorithms.Several directions for future research are also pointed out,which will motivate researchers to undertake extensive studies in this field.
