Maintaining semi-structured spatio-temporal data based on a nesting-relation-oriented model

The semi-structured spatio-temporal data have become prevalent with the growth of GIS.In this paper,the authors propose to use the nature of spatio-temporal data to store and maintain the data efficiently in an object-relational database based on the nesting-relation-oriented data model-one of N1NF database.This model not only reflects the nested structure of semi-structured spatio-temporal data,but also distinguishes the attributes between entity object classes and spatio-temporal nested relationship classes and that between entity object classes and nested relationship classes by using more data semantics.Our approach has little redundance in storage and more efficiency of update in management.
