Indirect Speech Acts——For Literal Meaning and Connotation

It is not enough to learn vocabulary and grammar when learning Japanese. It is necessary for us to consider the expression way of language when correct communication is needed.Not only literal meaning is understood,but also the hidden meaning we should understand when we communicate with others. Therefore,we usually express ourselves or understand what others say by both literal meaning and connotation. On the basis of the theory of indirect speech acts,the paper is to study the characteristics of indirect speech acts by some certain corpus to help Japanese learners learn Japanese more efficiently.
