The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol and Its Security Detection

The LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), a new protocol standard, has gained its popularity in the world of network. Therefore its security problem is becoming the focus of attention of network researchers. The paper firstly introduces the basic concept and the characteristics of the LDAP, and then analyses the rules of the protocol data unit in LDAP. Moreover a security detection software is developed.
