Attention Compete of Sentence-Initial Subject in the Subject-Predicate Structure——Based on the Tourism Text Translation

The theory of attention distribution proposed by Talmy,pointed out that the syntax structure can impact the attention distribution of readers. On the exploratory about attention compete of sentence-initial subject in the subject-predicate structure,the paper adds the subject's focal characteristics. On the basis of attention distribution analysis in tourism text,the author advocates that the translator can change the word order to be SVO sentence in accordance with the salience of important information so as to be convenient for the readers' understanding.
