Consensus of Multi-Agent System with Sampled Information

Jihui Xu · Electronics Optics & Control · 2010

The consensus of second-order,continuous-time multi-agent system is studied, where each agent can obtain the information of relative states between it and its neighbors only at discrete times.By applying Lyapunov function method,it is shown that consensus can be reached for all the agents if the discrete time intervals are small sufficiently.By solving a linear matrix inequality,an allowable upper bound of the discrete time intervals is obtained. Moreover, the application of it in formation control of multiple aircrafts is explained.Simulations are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.
