A data warehouse is a decision supporting, sub- ject-oriented, assemble, stable and time-dependent collection of data, comparing with data warehouse a data mart is a smaller and centralized one. Data Mining is a data-analyzing and knowledge-acquiring procedure by use of artificial intelli- gence. These new database technologies are introduced in this paper, their application achievements in electric power enter- prises are analyzed, and the current situation and prospect of applying data warehouse and data mart to electric power en- terprises are discussed.
