A New Method for Equivalent of Resistor and Its Application
Hongliang Chen · Journal of Electrical & Electronic Engineering Education · 2005
A new conclusion is drawn from that the equivalent resistance of series resistors is the sum of resistances of each individual resistor and the equivalent conductance of parallel resistors is the sum of conductances of each individual resistor. Any resistor can be equivalent to another resistor in series with a voltage-controlled voltage source, or to another resistor in series with a current-controlled voltage source. Any resistor can be equivalent to another resistor in parallel with a current-controlled current source, or to another resistor in parallel with a voltage-controlled current source. It is proved to be true theoretically. Examples are also given.
