Establishment of Beowulf System Based on Linux

The Plasma Physics Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is one of the main bases which undertake nuclear fusion study and Tokamak experimen tation. According to the demand of the experiment research, it is necessary to e stablish large-scale parallel computer system to carry on such research tasks a s numerical simulation. This paper introduces how to establish Beowulf cluster s ystem under Linux in common PC which is based on distributed memory structure .T his paper also introduces parallel programming methods based on MPI(message pass ing interface).
