Research of network flow monitor system based on Joesnmp and Jpcap

Under current switched campus IP network environment,building up a network flow monitor system based on SNMP and sniffer is proposed.When the flow acquisition function being implemented,API of the open source toolkits Joesnmp and Jpcap are used.The Web mode based JSP technique is used in the system to manage network equipment and to inquire the protocol information of flow data packages during the specified period of time.The Java Applet plugged in the Web pages is used to display every different time granularity flow graph.By the acquisition of flow data based on SNMP and sniffer analysis,basic methods can be provided to position and resolve network abnormalities and faults..
