Analysis of the Spurious Caused by Phase Truncation in DDS and the Ways to Restrain It

There is a lot of applications about the technology of direct digital frequency synthesis(DDS or DDFS)because of its many advantages.At present,how to reduce the spurious caused by phase truncation is researched abroad in different research domain.For describing the sources of spurious,first,this paper describes the working principle of DDS;then,it analyses the spurious model of DDS;finally,it summarizes the methods of reducing spurious:decreasing the number of phase truncation through compressing data and increasing the capacity of ROM;destroying the period of spurious with pulsing jitter source;improving the model of DDS.
