Design and Simulation Analysis of Regular LDPC Codes for BIAWGN Channel
Juan Xiao · Wireless Communication Technology · 2004
LDPC codes is an excellent linear error correcting codes, which can be implemented with low system costs and performs at a rate close to the Shannon capacity. Parity check matrix H is a key for the performance of LDPC codes. Two methods to construct H randomly are proposed in this paper: evenboth and evencol. Simulation results showed that the performance of code ensemble produced by evenboth is better than that by evencol. The actual advantages of regular LDPC codes under the short and middle frames can be verified through compared with convolutional codes.
