With the development of mapping, remote sensing and related technologies, the scale and level of detail of the vector map data is rapidly increasing, they contain a large number of complex geographic features, and complex topologies geometric relationships between the elements,so that the rapid visualization of large-scale vector map for high-performance parallel computing demand is very urgent. In order to achieve real-time visualization of large vector maps, this paper presents a fast visualization method based on multi-core CPU and GPU.In GPU parallel computing at the same time, the use of multi-core CPU to read and write data to create a multi-threaded to hide data I/O time,to improve display real-time.Last verified by experiments compared to serial algorithms, parallel in the vector map simplified of a large amount of data and its visualization efficiency has been greatly enhanced.
