A New Ranking Method for Interval Numbers in Uncertain Multiple Attribute Making Decision Problems

Based on a model of making decision analysis,an expectation-variance ranking method has been proposed for multiple(attribute) making decision problems with uncertain interval numbers,and then consistency between the method of this paper and the ranking method based on possibility has been proved.Finally,an example was given.The example showed that the new ranking method was simpler and more maneuverable than the method based on possibility.
