A CMOS Power-Down Protecting Circuit

Sha Qiu · Microelectronics · 1996

A CMOS power-down protecting circuit is designed for improving the reliability of microcontrollers. The on-chip RESET generator is activated as soon as the power is detected by the protecting circuit to be low threshold voltage, and it will stay in RESET as long as the power is under the high threshold voltage. When the power is sensed to be high threshold voltlage, powerup RESET restarts and the device begins to work. The CMOS power-down protecting circuit is composed of sampling resistors,a reference voltage generator and a CMOS voltage comparator.
