Design of IDE Hard Disk Driver for Portable Multi-Media Center

This paper introduces the design of IDE hard disk driver based on Intel Pxa255, which is used on PMC (Portable MultiMedia Center). This method includes the practice of hardware and software, and it illuminates how to increase the data transfer speed between hard disk and the system and how to improve the system stability. Test result shows that this method can be used to transfer data between hard disk and memory in high speed stably.
