Design of Digital Filter Based on CORDIC Algorithm

FIR and IIR digital filters have been widely used in DSP systems. Based on the basic coordinate conversion, this paper derives the principle of CORDIC algorithm precisely and implements it on FPGA. The paper also redesigned FIR and IIR filters’ model based on CORDIC algorithm and implements them integrated in one circuit through switch's controlling.
