Semantic Description of Battle Field Information Dissemination Service

The selection of OWL-S and SAWSDL,two widely-used semantic web services description languages,was discussed based on the specific application of battle information dissemination system.Firstly,track was taken for example to construct the battle information ontology and encapsulate the sensor services.Then,a detail illustration of how to describe ontology and services using OWL-S and SAWSDL respectively was made.These two languages were compared in terms of the capability of description,the support of service matching and so on.The analysis indicates that OWL-S is better adapted to the complex and changeable environment of battlefield situation.
