Strong Convergence of Iterative Sequences for Asymptotically Nonexpansive Mappings in Banach Spaces

We study the convergence of the sequence defined by x 0∈C,y n=β nTnx n+(1-β n)x n,x n+1=α nTny n+(1-α n)x,n=0,1,2,... where 0≤α n,β n≤1 and T is an asymptotically nonexpansive mapping from a closed convex subset of a Banach space into inself.
