Study on selection of water turbine type based on fuzzy-AHP and its application

A method for selection of water turbine type based on fuzzy-AHP is put forward to overcome the difficulty in quantitative analysis and evaluation.In this method,the weights of all evaluation indices are calculated using AHP and index evaluation matrices are created with the fuzzy theory.Then these two methods are combined to establish integrated indices for all types of water turbines and make selection of the optimum type by comparison of these indices.Application indicates that this is an effective method in solving the selection problem involved with many factors and that the proposed method is reliable and practical.
