The combination of compilation and research in compiling an academic journal is an important approach to quality assurance of the journal and a necessity to run a journal of distinction. In doing so, the relations between compilation and research, and between the studies of compilation and the studies of other relevant disciplines should be correctly handled, and those engaged in special academic research should pay more attention to macroscopic problems while those engaged in scientific research to information analysis.
