Group Mobility Model for Ad Hoc Network

Chang Tian · Jisuanji fangzhen · 2006

Tactical Internet is an important application scene of Ad Hoc network. Because of the task of battle and the restriction of organization, group mobility occurs frequently in Tactical Internet and nodes in group usually locate in a confined region. A group mobility model: Confined Group Mobility (CGM) model was proposed, which could answer for Tactical Internet environment. Moreover, CGM model with Reference Point Group Mobility (RPGM) model in network topology and the impact of two models on performance of routing protocol were compared. The results indicate that the various group mobility models will affect the performance of Ad Hoc network in different ways.
