The data dimension model of power plant lifecycle
Wang Cong-sheng · Electric Power · 2004
Power plant lifecycle is the period from planning, design, engineering, construction, installation, configuration, operations, main-tenance, to decommissioning and ultimately demolition. There is a great of information produced during the sections. There are problems ofthe information inherited from earlier sections. In the most power plants now, there are a lot of data held back from the earlier section, and alot of redundancy data, and low efficiency in the use of data. Especially from the design to engineering and construction, later to operationsand maintenance, there are great of information held back and lost, so many management information systems are used with limitation. Thispaper introduces the analysis on data according to the power plant lifecycle demand, and then proposes to build up the data structure relatedwith dimensions for every entity--relationship in sections of the period, which is related by the key on the identification system for powerplant.Based on these, the solution of the data inherited and redundancy is discussed by data warehouse tools.
