Known answer tests for Rijndael encryption algorithm
Xie Dong · 2002
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) have selected Rijndael algorithm from the many submitted algorithms. In this article there is a brief introduction about the process of the selection of algorithm for the advanced ecryption standard and in the following a detailed description about how the Rijndael works, next, its advantages and disadvantages are pointed out. Finally the reason that made the Rijndael algorithm stand out is explained. On the basis of the implementation of the Rijndael algorithm, the correctness and stability of the Rijndael algorithm are validated through known answer test, variable key test, variable plaintext test, known data table test, intermediate process test. Under the circumstance of limited capacity, the round key overload will hardly appear by using capacity key with cached comutation.3figs.,2tabs., 6refs.
