Performance Evaluation of Star LAN Queue Model with Collision Avoidance

A queue model is developed for a local area network with a star topology, which is based on collision-avoidance access control protocol .The model is based on a single server queuing system with finite sources and with a single buffer. The performance of an six-node network is evaluated. Hub which is based on the queue model can manage network so efficiently with intelligence that the performance of network can be improved .
