Review on Influences of Large-scale Wind Farms Power Systems and Countermeasures

Wind energy is a reliable and well developed renewable energy,which has undergone rapid growth worldwide in recent years.Because of its special characteristics,a large-scale wind energy injection means a great challenge for the security and the economic operation of transmission systems.In this paper,the running characteristic of wind power system and its effects on power systems security,power quality and power stability are analyzed.The countermeasures are also discussed.
