A location-based Adaptive Real-Time Routing Protocol(ARTRP) is proposed on the ground that each node in wireless sensor network possesses some problems, such as energy conserving, limited bandwidth, and so on.In order to meet different levels real-time requirement for different applications and improve the energy efficiency, this protocol automatically adjusts data packets transmission rate at different times, selects the optimal flow paths. On the OMNET++ software platform, simulation results show that it increases the real-time characteristic, data packet arrival rate and network lifetime.
