The Urban Transportation System is the key component of the city lifeline infrastructures. Its favorable anti-disaster performance is important for sustainable development of the modern city. This paper makes a brief summary and critical reviewof the research on the disaster resistant urban transportation system, together with a discussion for the development of it in future.
