Social Network Analysis Based on Tags Co-occurrence

This paper,taking CiteUlike as an example,builds a co-occurrence network made of tags,by social network analysis and comparative analysis,to investigate the basic properties of networks.Some conclusions are found: This network,which reflects the relevance between tags,has the characteristics of small world and scale-free,and it is an effective way of visualization.At the same time,this paper makes a brief introduction on two applications of co-occurrence network,namely the recommendation and ontology construction.Finally,some suggestions on organization of Internet information resources are provided.
