NAT Extension Based PnP Network

Wu Bin · Computer Engineering and Science · 2005

DHCP has made PNP-able hosts, meanwhile, the mobile IP technology has made mobile hosts. But when DHCP is applied to a statically configured host, the original configuration will lose completely. Also, registration trade-off makes the mobile IP technology an inefficient approach. Thus, this paper introduces an easy, efficient NAT based way to make a PnP-able network by means of ARP disguise and NAT extension.
